Shoot Schedule - 2008

February 10........TBoT (Traditional Bowhunters of Texas) Shoot - Great turnout-great weather!  TBoT buckles were awarded.  Thanks to everyone who helped make this one a big success - special thanks to Mrs. Helman for dishing out the food.  Pics and scores are posted.

March 16.............Turkey Shoot  - No shoot results will be posted - No pins or trophies were awarded and scores were kept only for each shooters benefit.

May 18................Longbow Warmup Shoot - 30+ shooters came despite losing many to the big Chester shoot!  Thanks to Jack Gardner for taking charge of dishing out the concessions.  Trophies awarded in 3 categories and some excellent doorprizes won by those who stuck it out to the end.  Pics and scores are posted.

July 13................Patriotic Shoot – We were pleased to have 20 shooters attend this one, since it was a mite warmish with not much breeze but the thoughtful Byron Neuse set the course mostly in the shade of the trees (thanks, Byron). Thanks to Ron Kauffman for manning the BBQ and to all who helped set up and take down (special thanks to the Collin County folks who came AND helped tear down – we appreciate ya’ll!).

DCA Shoot Schedule - 2007

February 18        - TBoT (Traditional Bowhunters of Texas) Shoot - TBoT belt buckles were awarded.  A beautiful day and a great turnout - thanks to everyone who participated and special thanks to Shirley for grilling us delicious burgers!

March 18             - Turkey Shoot - Club pins were awarded to our winners.  A nice, cool day and very well attended - we had great fun and fellowship and delicious food to fuel our walks up and down the mountain goat hill to retrieve our arrows!

May 5                 -  Longbow Warm-up Shoot - Trophies were awarded on a cool, humid day with a good turnout.  Lloyd laid out the course using the "bottoms" for a nice change.  Thanks to Dusty for grilling great burgers and dogs and to Mrs. Neuse and Lloyd for making emergency runs for more meat and buns!

September 23    -  Whitetail Shoot - Club pins were awarded to our winners and this shoot was open to all archers, traditional or compound.  It was a hot, humid day, but we had a wonderful time and sure appreciated our visitors coming out!

November 11     -  Charity Shoot Benefiting the Denton Food Bank - Perfect weather for our last shoot of the year - thanks to everyone who participated to help us help a worthy cause.  We can't wait until our 2008 Shoot Schedule to do it all over again next year!
